Strong connections between schools and counselors help students discover opportunities that shape their futures.
At Wilson Talent Center, that connection was on full display during the final Contact Counselor meeting of the year.
Counselors from across the region gathered to learn more about the programs available to students, receive updates on enrollment for the 2026–27 school year, and hear about recent student successes in competitions.
A highlight of the visit was a tour of the Precision Machining Technology program, where counselors saw firsthand the advanced equipment and technical skills students are developing. Experiences like this help counselors better understand how classroom learning translates into real-world career pathways.
In addition to program exploration, the meeting created space for meaningful conversations about how to support students in identifying and pursuing career interests through Career and Technical Education.
The event also showcased the collaboration between programs at Wilson Talent Center. Culinary Arts students prepared and served a full breakfast for attendees, demonstrating their own career-ready skills in hospitality and food service.
By bringing counselors into the classroom environment, Wilson Talent Center continues to strengthen partnerships that help guide students toward informed, confident decisions about their futures.
