BackPack Press is a multimedia storytelling hub designed to connect schools with their communities. An initiative of Ingham Intermediate School District (Ingham ISD), BackPack Press celebrates local education by amplifying the voices of students, educators and staff across our region.

We believe in the power of storytelling to inspire, inform and build community. Through video, photography, written features and other creative formats, we offer an authentic “from the inside-out” perspective on what’s happening in our schools — the triumphs, the teamwork and the everyday efforts that make education meaningful.

BackPack Press supports placemaking by highlighting the strong relationships and vibrant learning environments that shape our local identity. Whether we're sharing success stories, spotlighting innovative programs or offering valuable school and family resources, our mission is simple: to shine a light on the people and progress within our public schools.
