The Beekman Center, operated by Ingham ISD, has been a regional leader in center-based education for students with complex needs for over 50 years. This story explores how purpose-built environments, dedicated staff, and community partnerships come together to provide individualized, dignified support—ensuring that All Means All isn’t just a motto, but a lived experience.
Students at the Wilson Talent Center wrapped up the semester with friendly competition and festive energy. A student-led game day gave participants a chance to represent their programs, build connections, and celebrate school spirit before winter break.

Their staff has invested countless hours into this work, reviewing data, collaborating on goals, and engaging in professional development alongside Ingham ISD’s PBIS and School Improvement coaches. This partnership ensures Wilkshire’s efforts are intentional, sustainable, and always centered on student success. The result is a program worth celebrating and one we hope inspires other schools across the region.
Ingham ISD’s Student Instructional Services and Student Support Services teams joined forces to offer Special Education Essentials for Principals—a professional learning opportunity designed to strengthen leadership and enhance inclusive practices across the region.
