Over the past decade, Wilson Talent Center (WTC) has proudly recognized alumni who not only excel in their fields but also return to uplift the next generation. The 2025 Wall of Fame inductees represent the spirit of WTC—where passion, professionalism, and community intersect.

These six honorees have forged remarkable paths since high school, from entrepreneurship to public service. Just as importantly, each has made a point to give back—by mentoring students, serving on advisory boards, offering internships, or sharing their stories in WTC classrooms.

Meet the 2025 Wall of Fame Inductees:

  • Daniel Ballagh, a Stockbridge graduate and Business & Risk Management alum (2017–2019), earned his Property & Casualty License at age 18 and built a career in the insurance industry. Now a Claims Specialist with Munich Reinsurance, he regularly speaks to high school and college students about insurance careers.

  • Andrew Burgett, a Dansville graduate and Automotive Technology alum (2002–2003), began as a lube technician and now serves as Service Manager at LaFontaine Ford of Lansing. He continues to support WTC through vehicle donations and by serving on the Automotive Advisory Board.

  • Julie Cotroneo, a graduate of the former Auto Collision and Refinishing program (2009–2010), pursued advanced training in custom fabrication and upholstery. Now at Priority Auto Body, she mentors young employees entering the field.

  • Nikolas Rincon, a Criminal Justice alum from Dansville (2016–2017), turned classroom experience into a career in law enforcement. After serving in Jackson, he joined the Lansing Police Department in 2023 and mentors new recruits and Explorer post participants.

  • Kellie Speck Smith, a New Media alum from Mason (2012–2014), transformed a high school passion into Kellie Marie Photography. She’s since earned multiple degrees, volunteers at inclusive community events, and mentors WTC students through mock interviews.

  • Jonathan Ward, a Precision Machining Technology alum from East Lansing (2016–2018), completed a hands-on apprenticeship with Campbell Press Repair, where he’s now a respected leader. He mentors apprentices, serves on the SkillsUSA Michigan Advisory Board, and helps lead metal workshops for local middle schoolers.

These honorees show that WTC isn’t just a place to learn—it’s a place to belong. As each inductee shared their story, it became clear that the WTC experience forms lasting bonds that extend far beyond graduation.

Their advice, generosity, and continued engagement make a difference in the lives of students following in their footsteps.
