As the school year begins, so does a new wave of curiosity, courage, and connection. Ingham Intermediate School District kicked off the 2025–26 academic year with a gathering centered on the theme “What If?”—inviting staff, leaders, and educators to imagine what’s possible when we lead with hope and ask big questions.

Hosted by Mason Public Schools, the event welcomed hundreds of educators to a day of growth, inspiration, and forward-thinking.

Highlights included:

  • Jamey Fitzpatrick, President & CEO of Michigan Virtual, who encouraged attendees to consider how technology can transform education and empower students in the years to come.

  • Todd Poquette, Director of 906 Adventure Team, who delivered a motivating keynote on the power of pushing past fear, taking on life’s hard moments with resilience, and supporting students as they do the same.

The day also featured presentations from staff across the region, reinforcing a shared commitment to innovation, inclusion, and student success.

From small moments to big ideas, the kickoff reminded us all that progress begins with a question: What if we could do more, together?
