Meet Janet Mainz, a Teacher Consultant for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing at Ingham ISD. As part of Speech-Language-Hearing Month, we’re spotlighting her impact—and the incredible role that communication professionals play across our schools.

Janet works with students to build their hearing and communication skills, often using auditory training and specialized tools in inclusive classroom environments. Her work helps young learners gain confidence, independence, and connection in ways that ripple beyond the classroom.

Thank you to our speech-language pathologists, audiologists, DHH consultants, and tech teams who help students tune in, speak up, and thrive.
