Boss Mode Boot Camp #5 at Wilson Talent Center brought together students from across 17 programs for a dynamic, action-focused leadership experience. With support from SSGs Hunt, Adams, and Brooket of the Michigan Army National Guard, students explored the deeper meaning of professionalism—showing up with intention, leading in any environment, and creating positive impact wherever they go.
This event also aligned with a national initiative from DoSomething.org, which challenges young people to become contributors to society, not just consumers. Each WTC program group brainstormed a micro-project connected to their specific career field, generating nearly 60 ideas for boosting civic involvement and community service across mid-Michigan.
From blood drives to mental health awareness campaigns, student proposals demonstrated bold thinking and deep empathy. Participants also received a copy of How to Win Friends & Influence People and were encouraged to pass it on to another aspiring leader once they were done.
The result? Confidence. Collaboration. And a clear reminder that leadership is not a title—it’s a choice.
