Spartan Project SEARCH is transforming futures for young adults with IEPs by providing a bridge between school and the workplace. Based at Michigan State University, the program equips students with hands-on experience, mentorship, and the opportunity to grow their independence in a supportive environment.
Participants rotate through various roles on campus, learning job-specific skills while developing leadership, communication, and self-advocacy. With guidance from staff and support from peers, students uncover their strengths and prepare for meaningful employment after graduation.
The impact is long-lasting: many Project SEARCH alumni have secured jobs in the community—including positions right on MSU’s campus. The program is a powerful example of how schools and partners can work together to create real opportunities for success.
