This February, in honor of Insurance Careers Month, Wilson Talent Center proudly celebrated over 10 years of delivering powerful, real-world career training through the Invest program—making it the longest-standing Invest site in Michigan.

With leadership and support from Amerisure, NAAIA Detroit/Michigan, and the broader Michigan insurance community, students have gained meaningful access to insurance education, networking opportunities, and career pathways in a high-demand industry.

Special thanks go to Marybeth Birchmeier and Monique Colizzi for their dedication to teaching the program and mentoring future insurance professionals. Their work has helped countless students see the value and viability of a career in insurance—one that blends service, business, and community impact.

A recent success story? A WTC graduate who received a $10,000 scholarship through the program now works full-time at an insurance agency. “It’s a full-circle moment,” one instructor shared. “She learned it here, and now she’s living it out.”

As the program continues into 2026 and beyond, Wilson Talent Center remains committed to empowering the next generation of professionals—educating, innovating, and accelerating careers across Michigan’s insurance industry.
