What happens when business leaders step inside our schools—not for a meeting, but for a full day of learning, listening, and connection?

Through a partnership with the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce, Ingham ISD continues to support the “Principal for a Day” initiative, offering community leaders a firsthand look at what’s happening in classrooms across the service area.

Recently, Rocco Rucinski, owner of CRM Consulting Services and AI Transformation Services, spent the day at Waverly High School engaging with students and staff. From classroom visits to conversations with educators and administrators, the experience provided insight into today’s learning environments and the opportunities ahead.

Programs like Principal for a Day do more than showcase schools—they build bridges. Business leaders gain a deeper understanding of how schools are preparing students for college, careers, and life. In turn, educators strengthen partnerships that support real-world learning and workforce readiness.

Ingham ISD extends thanks to Waverly Community Schools, Superintendent Glenn Mitcham, and Principal Terry Terranova for welcoming this collaboration.

When schools and businesses work together, students thrive—and communities grow stronger.
