The Precision Machining students at Wilson Talent Center are putting their training to the test—and coming out on top.

Two major competitions showcased their talents this spring: the Ferris State PMT (Precision Machining Technology) competition and the MITES (Michigan Industrial & Technology Education Society) competition.

At Ferris State, both first-year student Kaden R. and second-year student Cam B. received top marks, reflecting their technical skill, attention to detail, and future potential in the machining field.

Meanwhile, at the MITES regional competition, every single project submitted advanced to the state level, with students receiving a mix of blue ribbons, plaques, and honorable mentions. These strong results reflect the program’s commitment to preparing students for advanced manufacturing careers in high-demand industries.

Precision Machining continues to be a standout program at WTC—blending classroom knowledge, hands-on learning, and real-world competition experience that prepares students for career success.
