At the Wilson Talent Center, learning goes far beyond the classroom. For students in the Year 2 Cosmetology program, career readiness means getting their hands moving—literally.
This week, students practiced the step-by-step process of performing basic facials under the guidance of Instructor Jamie Collins. The session was part of their ongoing preparation for the State Board Exams in May, which students are eligible to take after completing 1,500 hours of training.
Each hands-on session is a chance to sharpen technical skills, demonstrate professionalism, and gain feedback in a supportive, real-world environment. From sanitation protocols to customer communication, students are learning what it means to be both confident and compassionate in their craft.
With every technique mastered and every mannequin client served, these future beauty professionals are one step closer to turning passion into profession.
