Last week, students at the Wilson Talent Center got a real-world glimpse into the hiring process during a Mock Job Fair that brought together local employers, career-ready students, and valuable industry insights.

Participating programs included Cosmetology, Manicurist, Culinary Arts, and New Media. Students arrived prepared with résumés in hand, practiced interview techniques, and received one-on-one coaching from employers who generously donated their time and expertise.

These face-to-face sessions gave students real-time feedback on everything from handshake strength to cover letter clarity. In some cases, the connections made were so strong that students were invited to follow-up interviews and even offered potential job opportunities!

Special thanks to the community partners who participated. Your support helps prepare the next generation of talent—and boosts student confidence one conversation at a time.

Save the date: The next mock job fair is scheduled for December 10, spotlighting students in the Cybersecurity, Programming, and Engineering programs.
