Last week, students at the Wilson Talent Center got a real-world glimpse into the hiring process during a Mock Job Fair that brought together local employers, career-ready students, and valuable industry insights.

Participating programs included Cosmetology, Manicurist, Culinary Arts, and New Media. Students arrived prepared with résumés in hand, practiced interview techniques, and received one-on-one coaching from employers who generously donated their time and expertise.

These face-to-face sessions gave students real-time feedback on everything from handshake strength to cover letter clarity. In some cases, the connections made were so strong that students were invited to follow-up interviews and even offered potential job opportunities!
