Ingham Intermediate School District’s Early Childhood team is finding innovative ways to bring learning into everyday environments—and their latest collaboration with McLaren Greater Lansing is proof that no moment is too small to make a big impact.

Through the Talking is Teaching initiative, diaper-changing stations at McLaren Greater Lansing now feature engaging stickers that prompt caregivers to talk, sing, count, and bond with their child during diaper time.

Each sticker offers playful prompts and friendly illustrations that encourage early brain development through back-and-forth interactions—even in the most unexpected places.

This expansion of Talking is Teaching is part of Ingham ISD’s ongoing mission to support early literacy and language development for children from birth through age five. The message is simple but powerful: every moment is a learning moment.

Whether you’re counting toes, naming animals, or singing a silly song during a diaper change, you’re helping build the foundation for future success—right from the changing table.
