Before the sun comes up, CJ is already on the job—delivering the day’s weather forecast to an online community of nearly 3,000 followers. What started as a personal interest has become a beloved daily ritual, and CJ hasn’t missed a single forecast since he launched his weather updates in April 2020.

CJ is a student in Ingham ISD’s SAIL (Skills for Adult Independent Living) program, which supports students ages 16–26 in building independence and career readiness. With the encouragement of his parents and educators, CJ’s passion for meteorology has grown into a platform that connects and inspires others—rain or shine.

His consistency, enthusiasm, and drive have made his forecasts a favorite across the community, and he’s always looking for new ways to improve his craft, including welcoming special guests and learning more about weather science.

From storm warnings to sunny skies, CJ’s commitment is a reminder that when students are supported in doing what they love, amazing things can happen.
