In the week leading up to winter break, Educational Careers students at the Wilson Talent Center took a deep dive into how families around the world celebrate the holiday season.

As part of their continued focus on social-emotional learning and cultural competence, students explored global traditions, learned about customs from different cultures, and shared presentations, crafts, and stories from around the world.

These hands-on experiences are designed to help future educators build inclusive, welcoming classroom environments—where all students feel seen, understood, and respected.

By developing both empathy and cross-cultural understanding, these students are gaining the tools to connect meaningfully with every learner they encounter.
