Families looking for free, fun, and educational activities this summer can join Ingham Intermediate School District’s Play & Learn Groups, which are taking place at parks across the county.

Designed for children from birth to age 5 and their caregivers, the outdoor playgroups provide opportunities for stories, songs, hands-on learning activities, and social interaction in a welcoming community setting.

According to Ingham ISD, the groups are currently taking a brief break for the holiday week but will resume in July. Families are encouraged to simply drop in and participate when sessions restart. No registration is required.

The free program is part of Ingham ISD’s ongoing efforts to support early childhood development and help families access engaging learning experiences before children enter school.

Play & Learn Groups are being held at the following locations:

  • Rayner Park – 738 E. Ash St., Mason
  • Frances Park – 2701 Moores River Dr., Lansing
  • North Meridian Park – 5191 Meridian Rd., Williamston
  • Sharp Park – 1401 Elmwood Rd., Lansing

The program runs through mid-August and offers families a chance to connect with other caregivers while children explore, learn, and play in an outdoor environment.

For updated schedules, dates, and times, families can visit Ingham ISD’s website at inghamisd.org.
