Family Literacy Day marked the beginning of Family Literacy Month, with Ingham ISD introducing Literacy Consultants Heidi Gascon and Katherine Andersen to discuss the importance of fostering literacy at home.

Parents were encouraged to engage children in simple, everyday literacy-building activities such as meaningful conversations, shared reading, and even grocery list writing. Resources like the Michigan Learning Channel and Curious Crew were highlighted as valuable tools for language development.
