It takes a village—and then some—to keep a school system running smoothly. At Ingham Intermediate School District, that village includes a dedicated team of educators, specialists, and support staff who consistently go the extra mile. Through the Ingham Impact Employee Recognition program, a few of these quiet heroes are getting the spotlight they deserve.

Nicole Bondsteel, a teacher at Heartwood School, is a daily source of encouragement and care for her youngest students. Incorporating ULS curriculum, MOVE, and Core into her teaching, she ensures every lesson is accessible and meaningful. But her support goes far beyond academics. Whether it’s assisting with toileting or helping families at home, Nicole is known for doing “whatever it takes” to meet her students’ needs with love and dedication.

Robert Holiday, Application Support Specialist with the Data, Systems, and Analysis team, is celebrated for his top-notch customer service—even in high-stress situations. Colleagues praise his patience, professionalism, and deep tech knowledge. Whether someone is struggling with a software glitch or just needs a kind voice on the other end of the line, Robert consistently delivers support with skill and heart.

Elijah Brown, HR and Benefits Specialist, takes pride in meeting people where they are. His responsiveness and personal follow-through—even after hours or during meetings—have made a lasting impression on coworkers. His ability to calmly address concerns, explain processes, and offer reassurance speaks to his incredible patience and attentiveness.

These recognitions remind us that excellence isn’t always loud—it’s consistent, caring, and often behind the scenes. Ingham ISD’s team is full of these everyday role models, each one helping to build a more responsive and compassionate school community.
