This October, Ingham ISD welcomed leaders from across sectors to the Early Childhood Summit—an intentional space to strengthen the systems that support children and families in our region.
Participants included representatives from early learning programs, K–12 schools, public health departments, nonprofit organizations, and other community partners. Conversations focused on shared responsibility and cross-sector alignment to ensure more equitable access to early childhood care and education.
Topics included:
Expanding access to affordable childcare
Supporting early learning programs amid 32p funding challenges
Aligning services for children and families more effectively across sectors
The summit served as a reaffirmation of our community’s commitment to putting families first—even as programs navigate reduced funding and increasing need. By centering children in every conversation, Ingham ISD and its partners are paving the way for more coordinated, sustainable systems that help every child thrive.
