Cyber threats are on the rise—and students at Wilson Talent Center are learning how to rise to meet them.
On October 22, Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics students attended the 3rd Annual Michigan High School Cyber Summit in Novi, where they explored the growing field of cybersecurity through hands-on challenges, expert presentations, and peer collaboration.
The summit offered students the chance to deepen their understanding of how cyberattacks impact both public and private sectors, and how cybersecurity professionals defend against them. From phishing awareness posters to data protection activities, students put their critical thinking and creativity to work—while also hearing directly from professionals about pathways into this high-demand industry.
The experience not only highlighted the real-world importance of cybersecurity but also opened doors for students to explore career opportunities that align with their interests in tech, problem-solving, and digital justice.
