Sometimes the most meaningful school memories are not made inside a classroom.
They happen on a dance floor.
Recently, Heartwood School students celebrated not one, but two memorable events designed to bring joy, connection, and community to the school year: an energetic elementary glow dance and a festive Masquerade Prom celebration for older students.
And while the decorations looked different, both events shared something important in common:
They created space for students to simply have fun together.
At the elementary glow dance, students filled the room with excitement as music played, glowing accessories lit up the space, and classmates danced, laughed, and celebrated alongside one another.
For many students, events like these are more than entertainment.
They are opportunities to build friendships, strengthen school connections, explore self-expression, and experience the simple joy of celebrating as part of a community.
Later, older students and staff stepped into an evening of elegance during Heartwood’s Masquerade Prom, complete with creative masks, festive décor, music, and time spent together on the dance floor.
From colorful masquerade masks to glowing smiles and shared laughter, the event offered students an opportunity to celebrate the school year and enjoy a special evening filled with memorable moments.
Across both events, one thing was clear:
Joy matters.
Moments of celebration matter.
And creating experiences where every student feels included, welcomed, and able to participate matters, too.
Because sometimes the best part of school is not just what students learn—
It is the memories they make together.
See more from the glow dance.
See more from the masquerade prom.
