At Wilson Talent Center, Constitution Day isn’t just a history lesson—it’s a hands-on opportunity for students to explore how the U.S. Constitution continues to shape their lives.

Each program across WTC approached the day with purpose and creativity. In the Educational Careers program, first-year students identified developmentally appropriate resources to help teach Constitution Day at different educational levels—early childhood, elementary, and secondary. Second-year students took it one step further by writing a complete lesson plan and gathering materials to use during their upcoming classroom field placements.

Meanwhile, students in the Cosmetology and Manicurist programs analyzed the Constitution and Bill of Rights through the lens of everyday life. After completing a short quiz and group activity, students reflected on at least three specific ways in which these founding documents impact their personal rights, responsibilities, and freedoms.

Across all programs, the message was clear: understanding our nation’s foundation is not just for the classroom—it’s part of preparing students for engaged, informed lives as future professionals, leaders, and citizens.
