Ingham Intermediate School District’s "Principal for a Day" program gave business leader Denys Macaluso, Vice President of Residential Lending at MSU Federal Credit Union, a unique opportunity to step into the shoes of a school principal. Teaming up with Michel McDonald, Director of Transition & Itinerant Services for the SAIL program, Macaluso experienced the day-to-day responsibilities of school leadership.The initiative fosters collaboration between education and industry, giving business and civic leaders a deeper understanding of school operations and the challenges educators face. These partnerships help create a stronger network of support for students and schools.
