The Beekman team designed the day to be accessible, engaging, and inclusive, creating opportunities for every student to participate and celebrate. From the pop of a bubble wand to the ripple of a rainbow parachute, every moment offered a chance to laugh, cheer, and connect.

Events like these not only support physical movement and sensory exploration—they also build community. With staff fully engaged alongside students, the Beekman field day embodied what it means to create meaningful, joyful learning environments for all.

But for students in Spartan Project SEARCH, a recent visit to the Michigan Capitol turned civic learning into a real-world experience. From meeting with State Senator Sarah Anthony to observing activity inside the Senate chamber, students gained a firsthand look at the many people and moving parts that help serve communities across Michigan.
