First- and second-year Culinary Arts students from the Capital Region Technical Early College (CRTEC) program visited the Michigan Culinary Institute to explore next steps in their culinary journey.

Hosted at the state-of-the-art facility inside the Gannon Building, the visit offered students a behind-the-scenes look at professional kitchens, industry-standard equipment, and hands-on training programs designed to launch successful careers in hospitality and the culinary arts.

Students had the opportunity to:

  • Tour the Michigan Culinary Institute

  • Learn about degree programs and certifications

  • Hear directly from instructors and industry professionals

  • Imagine their future in a high-demand, high-skill field

This visit is part of WTC’s broader commitment to career-connected learning, helping students build both the technical and transferable skills needed to succeed in the world beyond high school.
