From magical surprises to pumpkin picking, students at Beekman Center recently enjoyed a little extra excitement as their school community came together for two memorable experiences.
The fun included a special visit from Jeff the Magician, who brought a performance filled with wonder, laughter and plenty of smiles.
Students and staff gathered to enjoy the show, sharing moments of excitement and surprise as the magic unfolded. The visit offered an opportunity to step outside everyday routines and enjoy an experience together.
The celebration continued with a fall-themed morning organized by Beekman Center's Events Committee and Room 123.
Students explored the school's very own pumpkin patch, posed for pictures at a festive fall photo booth and participated in outdoor yard games. The activities brought seasonal traditions to life while creating opportunities for students to interact, celebrate and enjoy time with their school community.
Experiences like these are about more than entertainment. They provide opportunities for connection, participation and shared enjoyment, helping create a school environment where students feel included and valued.
For students with a wide range of abilities and needs, accessible opportunities to participate in school celebrations are an important part of building community and belonging.
Both events were made possible through the efforts of dedicated staff and special guests who helped create memorable moments for Beekman Center students.
Whether watching a magician perform or enjoying a fall morning with friends, these experiences serve as a reminder that some of the most meaningful moments in education happen when people simply come together to share a little joy.
