Students in the 2nd-year Business & Risk Management program at Wilson Talent Center were recently presented with a $702 scholarship check—raised in memory of Joe Dimmick, a highly respected insurance professional known for his contributions to the industry and his commitment to mentoring others.

The funds were generated through student participation in the annual Joe Dimmick Memorial Golf Outing held in August at Centennial Acres. While supporting the event, students engaged directly with insurance professionals, built relationships, and practiced both sales and communication skills by managing a game hole on the course.

Brian Dimmick, Joe's son and an insurance leader in his own right, presented the check to the students, recognizing their efforts and the importance of continuing his father's legacy. The scholarship will be available to eligible students in the spring and serves as a meaningful example of how community partnerships can create real opportunities for career exploration and growth.
