Wilson Talent Center’s Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation program hosted an Athletic Training Month Open House, welcoming industry professionals and guest speakers to share insights with students. The event highlighted career pathways, professional experiences, and the growing field of athletic training.

From color matching to placement and blending techniques, students gained real-world skills and industry insight directly from working professionals.
BioScience Careers students at Wilson Talent Center participated in a career-based presentation and hands-on lab activity with professionals from Neogen, a Lansing-based company serving the food safety and animal health industries. The experience connected classroom learning to real-world applications in science and industry.
Through a partnership with the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce, Ingham ISD welcomed local business leader Rocco Rucinski to Waverly High School as part of the “Principal for a Day” initiative. The experience strengthened connections between schools and the business community while highlighting opportunities for collaboration that support students and the future workforce.
Former NFL player Todd Duckett visited Wilson Talent Center’s Boss Mode Boot Camp to share his journey—from pro athlete to purpose-driven leader. With lessons on goal-setting, mindset, and self-worth, Duckett empowered students to define success on their own terms and take charge of their future.
